Decem is a client management app for personal trainers, made by Victor Ivanescu in Toronto, Canada. This page explains what the app does with your data in plain language. The short version: your data stays with you.

What Decem stores

Decem stores the information you type into it: your clients' names and contact details, the packages they've bought, their scheduled and completed sessions, payments you record, and any notes, goals or measurements you add. All of it is stored on your iPhone.

Where it lives

On your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, Decem also stores a copy in your personal iCloud account so your data follows you to your other Apple devices. That copy is in your iCloud, under your Apple ID, protected by Apple's encryption. Decem has no server of its own and no way to read it.

What Decem sends to us

Nothing. Decem does not have user accounts, does not require you to sign up, and does not transmit your client data to Decem or to anyone else. There is no analytics tracking inside the app and no advertising.

Calendar access

If you enable calendar sync, Decem asks for permission to read and write events in the Calendar app on your iPhone. It uses this to add your training sessions to a calendar you choose and to notice when you move or delete those events. Decem only reads events it created and, if you allow it, checks other events for scheduling conflicts. Calendar data is never sent anywhere.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, Decem schedules reminders on your device, for example asking whether a session happened or warning that a client is low on sessions. These are local notifications generated on your iPhone. No push server is involved.

Purchases

Subscriptions and one time purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. Decem may use RevenueCat to check whether a purchase is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app installation identifier and purchase receipt information from Apple. It does not receive your clients' data. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

The waitlist on this website

If you enter your email on decemapp.com, it is used to tell you when Decem launches and for occasional updates about the app. You can unsubscribe from any email. We don't sell or share the list.

Your clients' data

You are responsible for the client information you enter into Decem, the same as you would be for a notebook or a spreadsheet. Decem gives you tools to keep it private, but how you use it is up to you.

Deleting your data

Delete a client in the app and everything about them is gone. Delete the app and all local data is removed. If you used iCloud sync, you can remove Decem's data from iCloud in Settings, Apple ID, iCloud, Manage Storage.

Children

Decem is for adult trainers and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
